♥ Bossiney Haven, Tintagel, PL34 0BA

  • A secluded, off the beaten track, sheltered and picturesque cove with spectacular scenery. Excellent beach at low tide and usually fairly quiet partly due to the steep access via the coastal foot path and steps from the car park making it unsuitable for push chairs and wheel chairs.
  • Toilets (at top of cliff next to parking area)
  • No beach at high tide.
  • Dogs allowed all year round
  • Distance: 9.5 miles (18 mins)

Northcott Mouth is a totally dog friendly beach, just 14 miles (24 mins drive) from Trelash.  Loved for its rugged beauty, the cove’s sandy beach is only accessible at low tide.   National Trust owned, there is a honesty box in the car park.

Crooklets beach is one of 2 lovely beaches found in Bude, North Cornwall with a super wide golden sandy beach at low tide

  • Dog friendly 1st October to Easter Sunday

♥ Summerleaze Beach, Bude EX23 8HN

The second of the two Bude beaches, less than 5 mins walk from Bude town centre, where you can saunter from the beach car park directly on to the sand dunes.

♥ Sandymouth, Stibb, Nr Bude, EX23 9HW

  • Enjoy spectacular views along the coastline between Bude and Sandymouth by walking the two mile beach at low tide. As the tide comes in you can return using the coast path.
  • A National Trust beach with a large, manned, car park at the top of the cliff.
  • A steep and narrow path, with some steps, leads from the car park down to the beach which makes Sandymouth unsuitable for push chairs and those less mobile.
  • Seasonal café, toilets and surf-hire.
  • Dog Friendly all year round
  • Distance: 16 miles (25 mins)

Crowded in the busy season.Dog Friendly Beaches Cornwall. Widemouth Bay 19mins drive from The Cottage available from Luxury Cornwall Holiday Cottages

  • Dogs welcome all year on the Southern section of the beach (Black Rock) only.
  • Dogs welcome on the Northern part  Easter Day to 1st October (ie throughout the summer)
  • Distance: 10.8 miles (19 mins)

♥ Crackington Haven Beach, Crackington Haven, EX23 0JG

  • A lovely sandy cove set beneath sky-scraper cliffs, though pebbly at high tide.
  • Cafe, pub, toilets and a small shop
  • Our most local and well loved beach
  • No dogs Easter Day to 1st October (ie throughout the summer)
  • Distance: 7.5 miles (10-14 mins)

♥ Trebarwith Strand Beach, Trebarwith, Tintagel, PL34 0HB

  • A very popular sandy beach completely covered at high tide.  Access is over rocks, but achievable with a push chair.  Less mobile individuals should proceed with care.
  • Cafe during main holiday seasons.
  • Cliff top pub with beautiful views out to sea and Gull Rock. Good for sunsets.

♥ TREGARDOCK, Delabole PL33 9ED

  • Tregardock is situated halfway between Tintagel and Port Isaac
  • Situated at the end of a long steep footpath making it inaccessible to many
  • The long sandy beach is only accessible at low tide. A waterfall cascades down the cliffs at the northern end of the beach
  • Be sure to keep a watch on the incoming tide to avoid getting cut off
  • No lifeguard cover
  • No facilities
  • No dogs Easter Day to 1st October
  • Limited parking spaces along the roadside near the farm at Treligga.
  • Distance: 11.9 miles (23 mins)

PORT ISAAC PL29 3SB

  • Port Isaac (otherwise known as Port Wen on the famous Doc Martin TV series) is a beautiful little fishing harbour
  • Park at the top of the village and take the coastal footpath from the carpark for stunning coastal views.
  • Not really a beach for sunbathing as it can get very crowded these days. It is best suited for a visit with your dogs.
  • Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants.
  • If feeling adventurous, take a walk up the cliffs for spectacular views back towards the port
